My car grinded in reverse this morning (it was cold) and i assume that the gearbox fluid and diff. fluid need changing (I don't know when they were changed last, and i've had the car for 9k miles).

Seems like most people use Redline or Mobil 1 gearbox/tranny fluid, so wehre can i get them?

Also, is changing diff/tranny fluid easy? I've never done it before, sorry for the dumb questions.

Also, my castrol 15w-40 oil sucks, i've gone 2.5k miels with it and i'm looking to change to mobil 1, amsoil, or redline.. I've heard some people go 8000 miles before changing their oil with 0w-30 amsoil? Can anyone attest to that?

Sorry, i'm tired and cold so im babbling :laugh

TIA

Redline's website has a dealer page.
On that page is a listing for Eurasian. They're a great source for BMW parts, including the Redline fluids you need.
