need advice on a big wheel purchase coming up

i have a 1989 black 325i that is lowered from the new suspension i put in, and i want to get new wheels next to add to the sporty look. does anyone have any recomendations here is what i am looking for i think!!

-= somewhat large, 17 or more i think
-= i am pretty sure i want chrome
-= something that has an inside lip on it (not sure exactly what that is called)
-= some wheels that are not overly expensive
-= wheels that look good with racing tires

ok i dont know if that helped at all, but i would really like some recomendations to make my bimmer look more sporty!! thanks guys

Go to the Tire Rack web site. Choose your car (and color) and then select different wheels to get an idea of what your car will look like. Granted, it won't give you all the different angles but you'll get an idea..... You can get an idea of what difference there is from 17" to 18" (or bigger).

FWIW, I would suggest you stay with the smallest diameter of the wheel that you like. It will be cheaper, the tires will be cheaper and most likely the ride will be better. You may give up a little in the turn-in of the tire but most people wouldn't miss it.
