I've been thinking about hosting a referral service for repair shops, BMW dealer or Independents.
It seems that there are always horror stories out there and most people know THOSE people already. But who are YOUR favorites?
I'll divide them up and make a spreadsheet out of them but everyone jump in and provide as much information as possible. Complete facility name, phone number and contact name.
I'll do the rest.

depends on the age of the car.
for the E39, Ben Kerwood at BMW of Lincoln (did EVERYTHING on the Z3). I trust him with everything on the new cars.
for the E28, Autowerks in Lincoln (or my garage). The dealer just doesn't impress me with their knowledge/skill on the older cars.
