For some reason, I keep clipping damn curbs in my M5!! I NEVER had this problem in my 540......

Anyways, I have about a 1-1.5" long cut on the sidewall of my rear tire that goes about 1/4" deep from clipping a curb yesterday. These tires are BRAND NEW since I ruined one only a few weeks ago from clipping another curb! They have less than 1000 miles on them!

So, can a small cut like that be fixed? Should I just give up and spend another $400 to get a new tire? Is it safe to drive meanwhile?

Thanks guys!

PS: The tire is NOT leaking at all. This happened 2 days ago and I've driven around fine since then with no issues.

Cut in the sidewall? Nope. You're done. Buy a new tire.

Even though it's not leaking?

How deep is it? I guess you could keep driving on it until you have a blowout if you want... I'd just replace the tire if it's deep enough to concern you...
