I glad I found this site. I've only owned my 7 for a few months and have found this site to be very helpful. My car has pixel issues and You have to replace the cluster. I contacted BMW and they said they would split the cost with me, $280(me). Beggars can't be choosers, so as post I post this, my ride is getting fixed.:redspot

Just picked my car up and now I can read all the numbers and chearacters. Now if I can just get them to fix my brakes for free, hmmmm.

That's cool that they took care of you. I still need to get mine done.

Wow that's cool of them. Yeah I heard if you contact them, they help you take care of it.

I still need to do the same thing.

Although whats weird is that every morning all my pixels are fine for about 10-15 min, then throughout the day they start disappearing.

if you have a digital camera...keep it with you in the car and take a pic of each unit (MID and/or IHKA unit if its loosing pixels too)...so that when you contact BMW NA, you can attach a pic of the problem to your email...and if you get accepted and its time for the physical examination by the local BMW dealer...you can show them the pics as well...specially if it happens to be at a time that they are all working.

If it is intermittant...let them know up front...so if the pixels are all illuminated when you take it in...it won't seem like you're trying to pull a fast one on them. ;)
