I have a 2004 525i with the standard 16" wheels. Next time I need tires, I want to upsize to 17 or, preferably, 18. I assume 8 or 8.5 width will be OK. Are the 18s going to cause any problems? Thanks for the help

18's would be fine as long as proper offset. Those widths are OK, you could go even to 9" all around

The current wheels have a 20mm offset--I should maintain that--correct?? Thanks

If the wheels are going to be the same width (which I doubt), yes.
