Last night my engine light came on after racing a motorcycle...i had three people in the car and still beat him lol...it was dark i have no idea what kind obv not that great of one...but anway my car is running the same no noticeable changes except i think it might not be revving down? as quickly...i could just be tryin to find something wrong...i have a 97 M3 97k on it...wondering if u guys had any ideas before i took it in to get checked out

It could just be something stupid like an emissions component. My light comes on about 150 miles after I get gas every time. I turn it off, and sure enough 150 miles after the next fill up, there it is again. All because my gas cap doesn't make the perfect seal.

It's easy enough to pull the code and find out what's going on. I think Advance Auto Parts still does a free computer check to see what's wrong for you. If not, there's enough shops out there that will pullt he codes for free in hopes they can sell you something to fix it.

yea thanks i went to auto zone today and it threw the O2 sensor code...so i guess i just have to get that replaced..

Just go get it pulled. Having us guess at codes isn't going to be productive.

BTW, you wont beat any 600 or greater bike, especially if you have people in your car. Either they didnt know they were racing you, or you tried to race some dude on a 70's GS400.

lol...well we got up to like 115 on a 45 so i would assume he knew...ya im not sayin it was anything great just giving the circumstances
