Hello, this is my first post. I'm not a BMW owner right now but I'm looking forward to become one.

I'm looking for an Estoril Blue 4dr Sedan M3 with manual transmission.

Note: I've found the almost perfect car in an ad but it's an "automanual" transmision... what does that even mean?

Thanks for any replies!

"auto-manual" means its an automatic you can shift manually.
The auto tranny's have a high failure rate around 100k miles.
The manual tranny cars sell for more money, unless the "auto-manual" car is cheap enough to bother with converting to a manual 5 speed than I'd pass unless you need/want and automatic.

I will also be in this boat in Nov/Dec when I get back from Greece and settle down.

Donating my Honda Civic and looking for a 4 door e36 m3 manual (pref estoril) as a daily drive.

The E30 M3 will remain the track car.

Good luck in your search!

How much d'ya think to install a manual 5 gears transmission?

The car has 92,000 miles and the asking price is 13,900$. It's a 1997 4dr sedan - estoril blue in good condition. Not sure if it's priced right or not.

Join the club man. I've been looking for the same thing (I'll also settle for silver or black) for the past month and a half and haven't had any luck at all here in the northwest. I check this place, Craigslist, and Autotrader a few times a day. The closest one I've found so far that was almost exactly what I was looking for ended up having a salvaged title.
