help my a/c is not working anymore

hi i have a 1995 e38 740i my a/c is not workinganymore, i push the buttton but the compresor its not spining i dont know why i checked the fuses from a/c its nothing wrong with them.can u guys giveme some ideas? i even took my brothers climatecontrol panel and i tried with his but still it doesn t work.i thought first time that is the switch from climate control, but looks like it its not.

I've heard that if the refridgerent gets too low, that the compressor shuts off automatically as a safety. Try getting the R134a recharged and see if it turns back on. Also check fuses and relays. Good Luck

your don't have enought refridgerant to spin the whell. The wheel spins like a clutch. If there is not refridgerant than no spinning.

They will probably do this when you recharge, but it never hurts to make sure: Have them run a die in the lines to see where the leak occurred.

My '01 did not cool when when I received it and was making a whining noise when the air was switched on so I took it in....it was a pound or two low but they ran die and could not detect a leak while they recharged. It has been fine ever since.
