e34biturbo's e30

What a beautiful car. Sad to see it go, I hope it goes to a board memeber.

That's nice, and he's only looking for ~$13k for it!! Hell of a deal for such a hot car.

Since it is on ebay, I am guessing so ;)

Very tempting.

Has this car ever been down the 1/4 mi? I ask because of this rather bold claim in the auction:
"This car runs the quarter mile around 9.5seconds at full boost."

I am guessing this ebay auction is a different owner than e34biturbo?

Hmm I dont know, I was just assuming it was still owned by e34biturbo

Not sure. Right when he got back he told me in private that he was selling his white e30. I was gonna buy it but the wife said nope. Said I have to sell the e36 to buy it so forget that.

I called and it's not the original owner. If you look closer the car isn't in florida anymore. I asked for some more detailed pics. I'm interested

Man, that would be one hell of a car to add to the stable. Best of luck in getting it. Keep us posted.

Think about this guys...if this guy bought it from e34biturbo and is turning around to sell it for a profit...then why such a low price? Makes you think how low e34biturbo sold it for...which in turn makes you think if there is something really fishy going on here or if something is terribly wrong with the car. :shifty

VERY beautiful car. Well worth the asking price, if not twice that. BUT. Alpina B10 bi-turbo motor from an ultra-rare Euro E34. OK. Where are the turbo's? I see the BOV on the intake piping on the horrible underhood pic. In another photo, there is a close-up of an Alpina B6 3.5 manifold castings (which came in a regular E30 chassis), which, as we all know by the links at the bottom of this thread, WAS NEVER TURBO'D. Which is it? Is it a B10 motor? Is it a B6 motor? How are we supposed to have any idea what engine is now in this car, if there is not 1 single current picture of the engine in the car taken from outside the car?

If you look at the top pic on this page:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/286599/6
You can see that the top of the intake manifold casting has the Alpina logo in it, nothing more, this is from an E34 Alpina B10 bi-turbo engine from E34biturbo's cardomain page from his buildup.

If you look at this picture:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/james.hill1/Copy%20of%20Image(21).jpg
You can see that this is the top manifold casting of a B6 3.5 non-turbo's engine from an E30 Alpina B6.

Another real Alpina B6 for sale, take a close look at the top of the intake manifold:
http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15306&highlight=b6

If you look at this picture:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E30-Alpina-B10-BiTurbo-M3-TURBO-MONSTER-600HP_W0QQitemZ250016591089QQihZ015QQcategoryZ6131 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Actually 4th pic down on the left, the grey B6 3.5 casting? You can see that the top of the manifold in this car clearly says Alpina B6 3.5. This picture is directly from the Ebay auction of said car.

Somethign just seems very, very fishy. The engine may only have 65-ish thousand miles on it, but the chassis, according to e34bitubo in his FS post, has over 160k on it. I'm not saying there is something wrong with the car, but these I feel are questions that need to be answered before somebody can full-out say that that is an authentic B10 engine, in that car.

See that makes sense. I wonder why e34biturbo sold it for so cheap. This guy is just turning to make a profit but e34biturbo could have already reaped those rewards. Bummer. :( I should have purchased it from e34biturbo for like $14k, bought a storage garage and stored the car in there without the wife knowing. Damnit! :complain

I was trying to buy this originally as well but was too late. I think that person bought it to turn it around, just actually drove for a couple of month and decided to sell now.

I emailed him on why he is selling and got no response.

If I had 13k, I woulda bought it and flipped it also. This car is worth alot more than 13k.
