My car was involved in accident a while back so the information on the door was painted over. Does anyone know the correct air pressure for stock P205/60 R15 tires? Thanks!

front: 29-33 PSI
rear: 36-42 PSI
This is from memory, so someone correct if I am wrong, and I will fix this post. I check my tires way too often though, so I'm pretty sure those are accurate. I have the 16" wheels, but the 15" and 16" wheels are listed as the same pressures.

Thanks!Tire pressures are different model to model, and since the convertible is a lot heavier than a coupe or sedan you should get this info only from someone who has a 96 318ic.
Doesn't your owners manual list the tire pressures?

I didn't see the pressures listed in my manual - I checked before posting. Also searched the forums. I had 26 in the front, 32 in the rear which I'm positive was WAY too low. I upped that to 33 in the front, 37 in the rear for right now.
Side note - I guess the low tire pressure was why it was REALLY easy to induce understeer when playing around.

The pressures are listed in my manual but don't ask me for them, the manual is in my car which is at the shop right now.

Didn't even think about it being a convertible. That could be the only difference. I am sure though that the 328ic and 318ic would list the same pressure, because they share the same chassis.
Anyway, I think the info for the 318ic is listed in my manual, but it will probably be tonight before I can look at it and post again.

I think your front tire pressure should be okay for now, but you might want a bit more in your rear tires... say, 39 or 40... until you find out the correct pressures.

Just walked out to my 328I. Although 4dr and I6, I would recommend using these AT LEAST these number for yours:
Front (Non-Fully loaded) - 33 PSI
Rear (Non-Fully loaded) - 36 PSI
Fully loaded (5 people + trunk) it recommends up to 42 for the rear. I run 35/38 personally with a normal load, and up to 5 PSI over will retain handling without running risk of blowing. Underinflation will lead to bad gas mileage and handling, while gaining traction (rear).

Where is the tire pressure info in the manual? I only saw tire size - nothing about the recommended tire pressure.
Anyway, I was just out driving and it feels like I have a very tiny amount of oversteer now. I'm not sure though because I didn't push it, so it could also be a neutral setup. I just don't think it's understeering anymore.
