General:
about 188,000 miles, still pulling hard!
black on black
5spd
leather
aftermarket stereo

History:
I bought this car in North Carolina about 5 years ago. It had 105,000 on the clock then, and I was the second owner. The first owner had all the previous records, and seemed to treat the car very well. I shipped the car out to Portland when I moved.
Since I bought her, we have been through quite a lot together. All of the typical E36 problems have come and gone (e.g. water pump failure, subrame failure, door panel peel). All were fixed at either a BMW dealership or a researched shop. The subrame has was fixed and reinforced. Metal water pump installed. NEW door panels on all four doors. New headliner.
I think I still have every reciept of all the repairs/Upgrades since I bought the car.

Whats not stock:
Since buying the car I have always realized its potential. Unfortunetly I never had the cash to do all that I wanted. Here is a list of some of the small things I managed to afford...
Exterior
* Front bumper painted black
* Updated nose panel to 97 plus and painted kidneys black
* Ellipsoid headlights
* smoked corners in the front and OEM clears in the back
* Bilstein Sport Struts and Shocks installed about 800 miles ago. (these are awesome!)
* front control arms replaced
* New Bridgestone Potenza Pole position tires with about 800 miles on them
Interior
* 4 new door panels
* Momo shift knob
* clutch stop
* Pioneer Premeir deck
*MBquart 3.25 components in the front
*MBQuart 6x9s custom install on rear decklid
*4 channel pionner amp for interior speaker
*JL 12W6 and JBL amp
*Wet Okole Seat covers
************************************************** **************
THE BAD: Unfortunatly Im not made of money, and since I am working on my commercial pilots license I cant rationalize spending money on the car to fix these problems now. If someone is looking for a good project ot put some heart into this car is for you! Im trying to be completely honest in my description. The car has its problems, but it still makes me smile everytime I drive it!
Exterior:
* The paint is still in fair shape considering the cars age. I had it professionally detailed last summer, and its still looking pretty good. There are however blemishes and rock chips. There are some small dings here and there, and one big dent on the front of the drivers door. It was caused by a lousy tow truck driver who didn't close the door all the way.
* The sunroof wind baffle prevents the sunroof from closing unless you manually push it down first.
Interior:
* The OBC is shot. I was told by BMW NA that they will pay for the parts, but not the labor, to get this fixed
* The drivers seat is torn, but is covered.
* The leather is very worn throughout the car
* The drivers door panel needs new clips. Because it isn't flush with the door, you must put pressure on the door to get it to lock
* Im sure there are some other small things that a buyer's eye will notice (I pretend they aren't there because I love my car so much)
Mechanical:
* The best part about this car is the engine. IT LOVES TO REV! I have never had a single problem (minus the water pump failure) with the engine since i've owned it. It still pulls as hard as the day I bought it. Its quick enough to suprise people! The only "bad" thing is the mileage, but this engine seems to have a lot of life left in it!
* The 3rd gear syncros are going out. It is a problem I have learned to aleviate by a quick 2 to 3 shift, and only sucks sometimes. Some days I forget there is even a problem
************************************************** *****************
I have tried to give you an accurate description of the car. I hope it doesn't seem to negative. If you are interested, please come drive the car, because it speaks for itself.
Pictures are available of anything any interested parties would like to see.
