Between Toyo T1-R's and Falken-452's which would you choose and why?

From what I've read, I'd go with the Toyo's.

I have a set of 4 of the 452s on my car right now. They are very sticky in wet and dry, UHP rated, ride very well, quiet and they have a killer price.

They are not a competition tire or an extreme or max rated tire so the sidewall has some flex but other than that they are great, and I've been running SO3s and PS2s.

You can't beat the 452 for value.

I would like to hear about the Toyo T1R from somebody that's running them now.

i'm running a set of Toyo T1R's not as sticky as my kumho MX's, but i bought the toyos cause my MX's went to quick. Good in wet and dry, but they are LOUD at the limit, which may be a good thing or a bad thing. They are what I expected from a 280 tread rating. Overall a good tire for a daily driver.

same for the Toyo's

I have the T1R on my street E36 M3. I can't help you with racing. I know the older T1S had a good reputation for holding up on the track as a street tire. The T1R did not do very well in a recent tire test, however. You might try to track down those test results. I think it came out last fall. They are very light in weight as tires go.

My T1-R's did fine at the track... ambient was 105F or so... track temps likely 160F+
