I have a 1995 325I convertible with 17 inch contourM's on it using 235/40/17 inch rubber I am wanting to lower this car. Keep this in mind this is a Daily driver and drives everywhere around the city to seeing pleanty of time on Texas highways , sometimes the highways are not so smooth and they have one after another pretty steep dips so I would hate to bottom out or scrape when driving 70mph down the highway. Driving home at night and on the way to work I drive about a 3 mile Winding lake road that gets more fun to drive by the moment so lets say I want my car to not only look better but handle better as well. I am wanting a smooth ride but understand that lowering a car takes a little of that away i am just wanting to keep as much as I can and fix the looks department and handleing department to where it is better. I have been told between Eibachs and H&R springs to go with H&R why ? I was Told Eibach will not give you the 100% 1.5 up front and 1.0 inch drop in the rear as the H&R does. I have also heard one of those is stiffer and will ride more rough. AS for shocks this is a mixed feeling I can ask 10 people and 5 will say one thing and the other 5 will say the opposite.
Some say Go Bilstein I will put nothing else other than Bilstein on my car its a fixed shock and you cant go wrong. Others say KONI baby adjust your own shocks you wont be unsatisfied. I just want a nice looking lowered car with a good ride and handleing performance ( no bottoming out or chuckwagon like feel when driving ) please help here I am ready to get my car back on the read ready to play. Thanks David

Bilstein/koni I have drivin with both and cant say one is better then the other. As for springs go with h&r sport. I just had eibachs installed on my girlfriends 325i and handle like crap. The only reason we went with eibach was because they were less expensive. It is a very stock feeling. If you want performance go with h&r you get what you pay for in this case.

This will give you a feel for what it will look like...
