Which part of the sunroof are you trying to replace?

The whole cassette, how do I take down the headliner and replace the whole thing and put it back together. Thanks

woohoo!! i just did this. it was a betch. lol...no just time consuming.

remove your A and C pillar interior trim posts (including lights)

remove sunroof switch door, visors, dome light and oh-shet handles all around.

remove the sunroof opening trim.

remove one upper seat belt anchor and then the same B pilar trim.

remove upper part of door gaskets. that should drop your headliner.

once thats out you have four water drain tubes held on by weird clamps at all for corners.

unplug the sunrof motor switch.

using a torx bit theres like a million and a half torx screws holding it up there...ok, no really theres like 6 on each side and like 6 along the front (none in the rear) remember to keep it propped up while you unscrew each torx. i found my head worked best.

be careful of the the little C clips that screw up the two rear corners of the assembly. they like to come loose and fall and run under invisable cracks you never knew your car had while you tend to the other screws. and when you go to the stealer 6 or 7 times they look and you and stare with a slight tilt to their heads in utter confusion. when they bring up those dang pictures of diagrams to the car on theyre little computers it shows the very part you need but no little number with a line pointing to it so they can't do anything about it. you end up getting REEEALLY mad. scream for a while like a german kid at his computer. have a sandwich. sit in the car. and then those little C clips come running out from the invisable cracks from which they hid and chuckle 'just kidding.'

but im not bitter or anything.
