I am locked out and cant start my car cause the OBC is not accepting my code. I tried to disconnect the battery, but now it just counts down from 15min, and I still cant get in. I must have put the wrong code by mistake when arming it.

Does anyone know how to reset it so i can start my car?

Thanx

pull it out and disconnect it

You can either pull it out and disconnect the white connector, or when it's counting down from 15, just wait those 15 minutes. Both methods work, but if you just disconnect the OBC, when you reconnect it, the code will still be in. The 15 minute countdown is an override, and at the end, it will clear the code and you can start the car.

I just tried to disconnect the OBC and couldn't pull any of the 2 set of wires out. I will just wait for it to count down to 0 cause i dont want to pull to hard and rip any wires by mistake and give me an even bigger problem lol.:D Thanx again Heifetz17 :buttrock

+1. Disconnect the battery, then re-connect it. Let the OBC count all the way down and it will reset itself. I learned this the hard way.

I already disconected the battery thats why it was counting down. Just didn't know to let it count down to 0. Anyway thanx guys problem solved. Just started it after countdown.

Not much of a security immobilizer if u can just disconnect the battery and let it count down from 15min to 0 huh? Especially with rear folding seats. But I'm glad it was easy enough for me to do it :buttrock

It's only meant to discourage someone from stealing your car. No thief will want to wait around for 15 minutes to start your car with electronically "copied" keys.

Let's face it. You had the keys and yet you couldn't start your own car! :D

It's just another measure of safety. I use it when I have to park my car at the airport. By chance you can drop your keys on the ground and all the thief has to do is go around pressing on the remote to see which car unlocks. But even then, he can't start the car!
