Fog bulbs

i need to replace my fog and the bracket cuz one is broken and i broke the bracket. now i need to change out the bulb too, i searched and im guessing that i need a H1 bulb. now do i need to use a 55w? can i use something brighter? what bulbs would you recommend for a very bright white (no yellowish, or blue) thanks guys
