I Have for sale a 1991 BMW 525i Maroon in color for sale. This vehicle is in fine condition other than recent transmission failure. Upon having the car checked out it will need to be revuilt or replaced, So Ive decided to sell it. The engine is in Great shape along with |No dents whatsoever. Interior is in fine shape only problems may be a few tears in the leather seats and The Front two door panels Could stand Being replaced. I Had considered parting this vehicle out to make more money But My Job is kind of Keeping me Crazy busy lately so No time for working on cars...PLUS I'd hate to see such a Potential put out to pasture so soon. Anyway I am asking $1200 or BO So I'll try to post some pics But Ive had trouble reducing the size to fit these forums..LOL..>Sorry....If you email me at Gage308@yahoo.com I'll be glad to email you some Photos of the car.
Thanks
Don V

Automatic transmission,,,Currently Operates in 1st gear and reverse. Just enough to be able to maneuver it around in and out of the garage. I Actually drove it back from the transmission Shop, but as Speed Builds up Naturally it tried to Switch up and Slips.

Actually ...from what I understand anyway,. The First part of teh production year for 1991 the 525I was Given the m20...Then at some point in that year they switched to using all m50's...If you look up parts for that year car...alot of times they will have 2 completely different thinsg listed...But Most of the time if the source is a decent one They will have the m50 and m20 listed alongside the part...You can find out which one you have in the Vin # using the Code System they have.

Well I have seen 91 525s with build dates well into 1990 with M50s.

If you have a distributor cap on the front of the engine, you have an M20.

Ok ...I Guess what I was Trying to say was that the later part of 1991 ALL of the 525s were Being built with the m50 only...Not to say that the m50 wasnt in the vehicles before that time. Just that 1in 1991 is when they Made the transition to m50 only.

and to ad even more to that...LOL...I all along Was meaning to say the 1991 Build Year. the actual time frame that they were building the 1991's.
