hey so i purchased an m3 bumper off that huge gb http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45284 . and well it doesn't fit correctly. It has huge gaps basically. I know it is because the brackets that it gets inserted too. I don't have a fender liner on my drivers side. Is that where the bumper slides into? And is there something that is behind the bumper? Like a plastic cover. Because I remember on my last m3 bumper, I had to screw like two screws on each side that screwed into next to the fender liner. What parts do i need? as i got into a huge accident that ripped off all my parts.

There are guides installed on the bumper and on the car. The bumper slides into these and they are adjustable. Also the metal bumper mounts to the car with oversized holes so it can be positioned before the nuts are tightened down. There is a lot of adjustment in the system for a reason.
If you don't have wheel well liners, you really should get some. They aren't that expensive. I have a DIY in my sig on how to swap those out.
