When I first hit the brakes, my steering wheel will jump a little bit toward centered if it's not already. What might this be?

Warped brake rotor(s) or maybe control arm bushings.

Same thing on my 1996. I've read that worn caliper guide bushings can cause this. Caliper moves, pushing pads off rotor very slightly. First push of brake pedal closes gap. If one caliper is looser than other it would explain the steering jerk.
Inspect calipers & consider replacing bushings at next brake job. Parts are cheap.

When I am about to come to a stop my wheel will actually go to the left or right a little bit..it just pulls to one side..probably the same thing?

Check tire pressure. When braking the steering will go toward the most deflated tire.
