I hate to do this but I must put my baby up for sale. I have an opportunity that I need to take advantage of and I just cant afford it and have the M at the same time. Details:

Long Version:
I purchased this car from a CCA member who lived in Greenville SC. I bought the car back in April of this year. Since then, I have had the biggest grin on my face. I love the car to death and really hate to see it go. I purchased the car with 59,8XX miles. The car is in absolute wonderful condition. I get complements on the vehicle every time I take it out. The car came with alot of service records and receipts from over the years as well as a small "log" book. In this book the PO wrote down every time he did ANYTHING to the vehicle. This book has documented everytime he put fuel in the car, how much it cost, how many gallons, mileage of the car, and the date of the fueling. Also has "cliff noted" any service or maintainece record in the book as well. The car was serviced at Touring Car in Matthews NC. The paint on the car is really nice and shows no sign of fading or wear. The paint is easily a 9.5 out of 10. I would go as far to say that it has the nicest paint that I have seen in person on an E36 M. I searched very hard for one of these cars and every time I found one I was disappointed by the poor condition, until I found this car. The car is not stock, but its not far from it. Mods include: Supersprint exhaust, B&M short shift(which feels wonderful), aftermarket intake and the ADR M-sport wheels. The car has tasteful mods done to it, nothing major. The PO also put on the 3M clear protection on the front of the hood, the complete front bumper and sides, mirrors, A-pillars, windshield header and the door edges. The car has an OEM rear spoiler. The interior is in great shape as well. I would give the interior a 9.5 out of 10. The only thing it needs to become a 10 of 10 is a new drivers side floormat. The dash is great and has no cracks. The center armrest is in great shape and shows no wear. Both front seats are in great condition as well and show hardly any wear. I clean and treat them every 2 weeks to insure that they stay nice. The car does have a clutch stop installed as well. The car also comes with an Alpine CD headunit, Alpine amp, Alpine speakers all inside the car, and an Infinity 10" sub in the rear. I never have cared for listening to music in my BMW's but I must say that this system sounds very nice. I like the S52 song more than anything :). It doesnt hit too hard but it definitely gives it a nice clean sound. The highs sound really nice and the lows sound excellent. The motor is very strong in this car. I had driven a handful of E36 M3's prior to owning this one and many of them had the same mods but I must say, this car feels so much stronger and faster than any of the others I drove. I really wanted to get it on a dyno to see what it is putting down but I have not been able to do that yet. The water pump as well as the thermostat housing have both been replaced about 6,500 to 7,000 miles ago. Last October the car was serviced and received a new radiator, battery, valve cover gasket, 02 sensor, Complete flush of all fluids. That service was recorded at 55,250 miles. I have never taken the car past 3000 RPM before it was up to its full operating temp. The car is in exquisite condition. You really will be hard pressed to find a nicer car. Pricing: Im going to be asking somewhere in the 17's for the vehicle. I am not really dead set on a price just yet but I do have an idea in the back of my mind of around $17,000 OBO. Please do not low-ball or make rude comments about my price. If you have bad comments about the price, please keep them to yourself and dont jack my thread. Thanks! I forgot to mention in the ad that the only thing the car needs is to have its rear fenders rolled. The tires do rub some at different types of road situitations. Im hoping to take care of that before someone might purchase the car.

I was lucky enough to get a few hour ride in this beauty. It really is an immaculate car, as close to stepping in to 1996 as you can get. A good guy who really pampers his rides (I've seen his previous 96 328ic with hardtop, beautiful). I had some video from this ride, but alas, my 200 gig hard drive crashed, so I lost most of my vids/pictures. Hopefully I can get it back. If so, maybe I can put up a video.

Yes...I have waxed the strut towers before:) Im not sure what brand the intake is. It was already on the car when I purchased it. My original plans were to replace it with a Dinan or Conforti intake but I just never got around to ordering one.

Probably goes back to 2001 when he suffered a 3 hour (each way) drive stuffed into the passenger seat of my Spec Miata to go buy my first E36 M3. When I got my latest M3 last year, he drove it and really got the bug to get one, and he wanted the nicest one he could find with low miles, etc. After months of looking, your red M3 was just about the nicest we could find in the southeast with a great maintenance history.
When he decided to sell it last April, I seriously considered selling mine to buy it, but it was just to nice for me (I use mine for 90% track).

Good luck with the sale. The new wheels make it look that much better.

She certainly is one of a kind, as there are some true wannabe mint condition ones out there. I can vouch for much time spent on that car keeping the contaminents off of the paint.
