Are you joking? When was the last time you checked blue book or Edmund's true value? I think asking blue book for a babied car in excellent condition is only fair :rolleyes If you have nothing constructive to say...

I am not dropping the price unless there is no buyer after 2 weeks or so. I am not in immediate rush to sell the vehicle.

Sweet car man! I would say stay firm on your price. I was at the dealer yesterday and saw the same car, only in red and it was priced at 37k!

Love the coupe!

blue book means nothing in this market.

the introduction of the e90 has slaughtered prices. my 330's bluebook is about 5k higher than i could reasonably expect to sell it for. and my 328ci's bluebook is about 10k higher.

And to extend this further, Kelly Blue Book means nothing in general. It over values cars that are under 4 to 6 years old and under values cars that are older than 4 to 6 years old. That is why car dealers love it. They get to low ball you on your older trade while charging you a premium for that model that is only a few years old.

No, I'm not joking. Search these forums for ZHPs and look for how much they are selling. Better yet check out ebay. There was one with 17k recently that went for 26. Whether car was babied or not nobody knows and is a vague term to use in any sale. I'll say whatever I want and please, these are public forums.

Actually I have searched and most go for about what I am asking, give or take a grand. I am in no rush to sell the car, I have a bit of time to do so. Therefore I am slowly gaging the interest. Although I had inquiries no one came through in about a week, hence I reduced the asking price slightly. Please show me how the zhps on this forum with anywhere near 17k on the odo go for 26 grand. Maybe I should buy instead of looking to sell :confused I really don't get people that rain on others parade in this section. I hardly see what's in it for you. :dunno:

nothing is in it for me, i'm just being informational because thats the purpose of these forums. asking price of 30k is completely realistic, but firm is a joke. this is probably the reason why this thread didnt get any response from serious buyers. if anything you can only benefit from responses in your thread and free bumps you get from us, so relax :)

Unfortunately, I've noticed that this forum, as well as some other BMW sites, draws in a lot of low-ballers. Your better off selling it on Craigslist or something to get the price that your car is worth.

because we are usually better versed in these cars than the avearage car purchaser- so we know what we are looking at.

In a way you're right, but at the same time most cars end up being sold outside of this medium so it's not clear who's "loss" it is.

Well I can honestly say this place has been great for me. I purchased my car on here and now have sold my car on here.

But for ChosenGSR, I say hold your ground man. This is a bad ride... it wouldn't hurt to toss it outside of here though.
Alot of younger - low ballers are on here. Also I think alot of people are looking in the E36 realm as well.

But damn do I love your ride.

I agree with you, I love this place as well. But certain rides that sell here are way overpriced, such as e36 M3s. When I bought mine I got it for much cheaper than anything that goes here. e46s tend to be low balled. Anyway, I have had numerous inquiries and none came from here. Mostly autotrader etc...

Thanks for the kind words, I am sad every time I think about parting with this car. Don't we all wish we had unlimited funds.

I learned this years ago by selling my 2000 Ford Lightning. I ended up selling it to a non www.talonclub.org guy. Don't try to sell your car to a bunch of forum morons no matter the web forum. :redspot

Todays search on Autotrader Nationwide searching 2005 330Ci is as follows:

$52,695 Highest price
$25,995 Lowest price
$41,290 Average price

so....some snotty ass punk kid asking for 26.5 is just that....a punk.. :lol

Thanks guys! I listed my car in other places recently as well. I already have some people scheduled to come up look at the car. I actually got much better responses from pretty much any other places I've posted aside from bf.com, which is odd because this is my favorite board for information. I guess a different crowd.

it's your favorite place for information, because usually we are the most well informed...

...which is why you couldn't sell your car for what you were asking for, here... because we all know where we can get the same car much cheaper (elsewhere).
