This can't be put off any longer.
Everyone in the area seems to have their cars now, and the weather looks like it will be nice out this week. If for nothing else, this could be so that the rest of us could just take a peek under the hood of Phil and Seans little monsters. :buttrock So lets just plan something like drinks and appetizers.
So who's down?

I am down...so far, I don't seem to have anything for coming weekend. But of course, I have to get permission from my other half. Did I mention she isn't too much into cars? he he he:D Phillip knows about it, I think...

Then she must have dropped a lung giving you the old, "I don't know what this thing about going faster is..." speech. :biglaughb
Whatever works for everyone is good for me. I am probably going to Ohio this weekend with a friend to pick up a car. I was thinking just an inprompto gathering of sorts. Don't want this to be an all night thing, just something to match names with faces and engines and superchargers and.........
Congrats again on the car Sean. Hope everything worked out best for you with all the added drama.

Funny enough, my car is at Curry's right now. The rearview mirror isn't dimming and a couple of my gauge lights went out. Also, I want to have some gauges put in like Sean's because they looked so cool and are useful. So, let's hope I get it back in a couple of days.

Yup, I saw your car on a lift when I was at Curry's this Friday.
Phillip, if you are getting gauges, try to get analog gauge for A/F ratio. This digital gauge is already getting on my nerve.;) When I get my finalized intake/aftercooler, I may switch out this digital one with analog one.

Ultimate stealth system -- HKS CAMP. I've been researching this for a couple of months, I like it more and more. You use an indash screen to display everything with alarms if you hit a certain point you shouldn't hit. Which is more helpful, IMO, especially for you Phil if you plan on tracking your car. You can't monitor all of the gauges AND keep your eyes on the road.
I heard the weekend's BMW CCA event was fun ... drifting... although, drifting in my car, doesn't sound like fun... it sounds like expensive repairs...hehe.

I'll have to check into those gauges. I just called over and asked for all analog. The VDO boost gauge is easy to acquire, but an analog A/F is a bit more difficult, I was told.
FYI - Chris said your car is an absolute monster. He said you should be very careful pushing that throttle in turns because it even breaks loose in straights. You might look into fatter rubber in the rear.

Yeah baby, nothing like getting sideways on the 3-4 shift at 90+ mph to keep you awake.... :D

Just an aside, Dave, I have straight pipes now. What do you think that will net me? Also, how difficult will it be to pass emissions now?

No cats? With all your mods, might be tough to pass emissions now... :dunno
Straight pipes should be good for anywhere from 10-30 rwhp, but there's a chance your new power peak and torque peak will now occur at a higher rpm, and you could actually lose a tad of torque overall...

I may be coming out that way this evening if anyone is up for getting together. We may just grab something to eat or some drinks around the Town Center around 8-8:30ish. Probably going away later in the week for work again, but we'll have to see.

Well, tonight is no good for me. I still don't have my car back. How about tomorrow. What about this Sunday for football?

I'm gonna move this to the gatherings sections, but leave the link in the Z3/Z4 section.

Not sure if removing cats was good idea. Your car is already monster and 20 rwhp is probably not worth the pain of worrying about emission? :dunno
But hey, if you have already decided, I am all for it. Does this mean you can run racing chip all the time? I even like the sound of it, "Racing Chip". he he he:D :D :D
So, come on people, let's get this thing moving!!!

I could be up for another get together tomorrow. This weekend is poop for me though. I'm driving to Ohio with a friend to pick up a P-car. I almost had him into a nice M3, but he found a 968 that was setup at the factory by Koni, has some custom Forgelines (the guy who currently owns the car works at Forgline), and has a bunch of other goodies on it. It's going to be his Driver event toy so it's pretty much what he was looking for.
Let me know if you are up for tomorrow.

Wassup fellas my name is Tom, I'm new to the forum but not to M cars. I live in VA and have had my 98' M3 since new. It’s currently stock(for now) because I have been concentrating on motorcycling etc. but lately I’ve had the itch to modify it. I would like to hookup if possible to check out these S/C'd monsters and shoot the shit. I will keep an eye on the thread or email if interested. Thanks.

Weekdays kind of suck for me, to be honest. We'll get something going soon enough.

I'm game for watching the Deadskins play, if you can even call it playing. :D Champp's in Reston or Hooters of Fairfax are a couple of options I'd humbly throw out there.

Sounds like a plan to me. We'll see how everyone's schedule looks around the first week in December and go from there. It's just not that often that I actually make it out that way and figured I would give it a shot.
