I was thinking something similar. I wouldn't even set them on the concrete floor. I'm wondering if it's even possible to prevent a scratch on your rims? Hell, when I was in Florida in February, a valet scratched the shit out of my rims. The thing was, I didn't notice it till I was on my way back home to Houston. Pist me off. I was trying not to put so much as a speckle on my Hamann HMII's. You see, I'm running 225/40/18's and they don't do a thing to protect my rims. This tire size on 8.5 width rims renders the "protective beads" useless.

Nah, they're wheels, they'll be scratched somehow, somewhere so I might as well have the pleasure of adding the first slight marring myself. LOL You guys just bugged me out so badly I went down and checked, and they're fine.

They are Powdercoated HRE 547 17" 8.5/7.5 staggered setup, I really can't be so vulgar to reveal the final cost per rim, they didn't exactly pay me to take them home, but if cost must be known it's all on the official site:
