It's been an issue for a while now. It started about a year ago and I was able to fix it with new plugs and injectors. Here's the deal. It started again a few months ago and I changed the plugs but not the injectors. The misfire is happening on the same cylinder as last year. What are the chances that its another injector.
Plus I never thought it was an injector to begin with. It happens under very light throttle application and usually when a small load kicks in, like going up a hill on the highway or starting the car from a stop. Usually the CPU picks it up and cuts off the cylinder but it can be avoided if I react quick enough and give it extra throttle. If it happens on the highway it's always at cruising speeds and at low rpm (under 3k).
Yes there's a turbo on my car whick might complicate this, but I don' think that it's related to it because it has nothing to do with boosting. SO I thought I would ask the general E36 forum. Granted it could have something to do with the tune of the DME but i find it unlikely since I havent had the problem before. I've had the turbo for some time now.
So, does the problem sound familiar to anyone? Can anyone help me out?

I'll check the plugs, but i doubt thats it. Ignition coils, maybe. Any other ideas?

Ok the plugs were checked and the coils were moved around. The CEL went off and I'll check it tomorrow. Hopefully the misfire followed the coil. I remember doing this last year but I can't remember what the outcome was.
