Question about rims

I drive a 1997 1.9L z3 with the stock rims,
but I want to lower it 1" to 1.5" and replace
the stock rims with the ones from a 1995 E36
M3 (235/40/17-7.5). The question is if I change
the tires to 245/40/17 will I get any rubbing?

You really should be running 8's or 8.5's with 245/40-17's. The 235 would be the max on that rim (but still a good fitment). You wont have rubbing at that size.

My friend's 1995 M3 has 245/40/17 on the stock 7.5 wheels, and it's perfect...
