my good buddy has a 92 528. It is beautiful. Ive tried to have him sell it to me but he wont budge. Anyway, after riding in my extensively modified m3, he's got the bug. What he is looking for is a mid 13 second feel.
If you had $15k to spend on your 92 528 and wanted 13's, what would you do?

Are you sure its a 1992? If you want the big power and have the money to spend it, I would say go to www.boostjunky.com (http://www.boostjunky.com) where a guy dropped a few thousand into his 328i and made its a 650hp beast.

The auto tranny of that era isn't very good if you are trying to get speed out of the car. Swapping it for a manual would be a start. The Big Six makes lots of torque and going to something around a 4.10 LSD would be the next logical step. I don't know if that will get to 13's, but the car will definitely have more zap. Toss a superchager on top of that and you'll probably get there.
