Just want to say hello to everyone. I made a video of (almost) the top speed of my e36 eurospec M3 (321hp) last Sunday, I was bored and the roads were almost empty because of the soccer games. You can check it out here: video M3 (http://members.home.nl/pieter79) (see Video button)

You know, I think my car is almost faster than yours.... but that 6th gear is really helping you. :(

I couldn't top it out yet with camera. Top speed is 285 km/h (177 mph), next time it will be on tape......
@Eric R: What are the specs of your car?

Maybe I will see if I can get a nice video of a final gear 90mph to redline for you so we can compare. I have a lot of mods, I guess I will share.
The go-fast, in a nutshell:
-99 TC Kline S52
-Ported/Polished
-balanced/blueprinted
-Schrick Cams (256/264)
-7 Angle grind
-11.0:1 Compression
-Full OBD1 conversion
-TMS software
-Baffled oilpan
-Bored Throttlebody
-AA Gen 3 Exhaust / Trackpipe
-E34 M5 Clutch / 8.5# Flywheel
edit: I totally forgot to add my 2 bimmerforums.com stickers and my 1 eurowerks sticker, they are good for a total of 35rwhp.

That are a lot of mods! Mine is OEM except for no limiter anymore, a K&N intake filter and a Hamann muffler.
Would be cool to see a vid of yours one time so we can compare.

Not many places to do top speed runs without being unsafe...but I'll work on it. :)

Please don't do it if it's unsafe or illegal. I live in the Netherlands near the German border so I can drive as fast as I want every moment of the day. It's even dangerous to handle a camera at that speed, I've made a little bracket for my camera to place it at the center part of the steering wheel and it works well.

Thats what I plan on doing. There are a lot of wide open roads but if I do it I will probably end up getting a few friends to spot for traffic a few miles down the roads. If things work out I will do it but Im not going out of my way to kill someone :)

Did you already make a vid?
Cool vid...I missed it the first time around.
Anyways, the Dutch M obviously faster...its estoril blue. ;)
I wish we had roads around here that I could max out my car with out risking serious jail time. Nice vid.

Wow, does your car stay stable at that speed? Would'nt do that on the Dutch highways.

No problem at all. One hand for the steering wheel, the other one for the camera!! If there isn't much traffic the highways are a blast!
