Hypothetically, would you rather have a Euro Spec 1999 M3 with the 321 hp or the u.s. e46 m3 with the 333 hp. we'll say for arguments sake they both are low mileaged and in showroom condition.

Thats a tough decision but I would have to go with the e46 m3

Euro spec........ + supercharger.
super sleeper.
If E46 M3s weren't overpopulating the roads, I'd have picked it. I like the e46 styling a little better, and the drive quality is a toss up- I love the luxury of the e46 and the rawness of the e36. They're both great cars, but a euro-spec here has so much of a coolness factor to those in the know, and modding from a 321hp start, will blow away quite a few unsuspecting cars.

i guess i'll reply to my own thread. I'd vote for the e36 eurospec m3. 321 stock horsepower on the e36 body. ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Euro spec because not as many people would have it (in America).

e46 M3. There are a lot of them running around but that's how the e36 was when it was still in production. As much a I love the lines on the e36 the e46 is better looking IMO.

I would also go with teh Euro Spec because not many people would have it, and not one expect the car to make that much power.
That and as Itsablurr said, there are too many E46 running around now to make you feel special.

I say US E46 M3.
The Euro Spec is awesome but the mainenance would suck. Doesn't the timing have to be adjusted every 12K or something? Although 321 bhp with the more connected feel of the E36 M3...this is a tough one.

If anything the euro-spec will hold its value better cus of its uber rarity.

Actually a lot of people would think it makes that much power. Somehow people think my E30 is a hotrod.

euro, I just prefer the styling and feel of the E36 over the E46

I'd take the Euro-spec over the E46 too. 321HP + E36 body = HAWT.

Why isn't this a poll? This is easy Euro Spec e36. The feel and handling of the e36 with the euro motor it is almost a perfect combo.

I'm not a huge fan of the E36, but I'd still take the Euro E36 M3 only because it's rare in the US. The E46 M3 is too common here in SoCal.

I agree, to me the E36 coupe lines are almost as elegant as my all time favourite BMWs 3.0CSL and M635CSi.

would I have to drop back to 321bhp? , I would take the E46 and strip out my Euro E36 to a track whore!!
