I was wondering if anyone is running 245/40s all around on stock staggered 10 spokes? I know 235/40 should be no problem, but what about going to 245s? I know 245s are a bit big for the 7.5 fronts, but I wanna keep the same size all around since it handles so much better that way. I can get spacers if needed for the front, they're track tires so I don't care a whole lot how they look....

How bout 255s while I'm pushing it? ;) Or is that just to much for the fronts?

Most brands of 245/40's are too wide for 7.5" rims. Check the specs for "your" tires.

Doh, you're right! :( Guess I'm gonna be stuck at 235s until I can get some 8.5 fronts....

How about 8's. Think 245's be too much for that also? I just ordered a set of 17x8 rims today, but need new tires too. Tire Rack shows the S-03 being good for 8"-9.5" on both 235 and 245.

Doing some measuring a few days ago, I mounted the rears off my M3 on the front of my 318ti. Fit perfectly, even with a few inches of drop on that car and looked baadass. Tires were AVS Sports if you're comparing section width.

245's are perfect for an 8" rim. I think that the 245's on the 8.5 isn't enough. Good luck though.

Most people do run the 245/40R18 all the way around on the 17X8.5 with a little more negative camber in the front. You may have to roll the fender lip as well. The 245/40R17 will fit the 17X8 wheels as well.

Thanks Jim. I just got a set of 17x8 Borbet Type T from you guys today. Supposedly has the same 41 mm offset, but wanted a little more tire for grip. So I though about going from a 235 to a 245, but not sure if it was too much.
