thats half the fun but you would save a shit-ton of $$ buying something already built. i'd probably still prefer to build my own though

I'll buy the 3.2 and drive it to work... and use the 3.4 as my track car.

Eh, that's a poor comment. Any kind of modding is a loss of money. In fact, most hobbys are a loss of money. So according to your logic, it's only smart to do things that will earn you money? :rolleyes

Have you ever built a race car? Or tried?
My comment meant exactly this:
One Hundred Percent (100%) of the time, if you are not the owner of a racing operation, it will cost you more money to build a race car than to buy one that someone else has built. Period. End of discussion.

YES PLEASE
i know the turner motorsport cars cost in excess of 150k so those babys must have cost over 250k to build, have fun building your own e46 M3 track car to run with those things :rolleyes

Poor Tom Stewart...bought those cars with a plan to run them in World Challenge GT, only to have the rules changes make the cars non-competitive. Every time I see them advertised, I feel worse for him. I hope he finds a buyer for them.
He had some nice words for me on the grid for my first World Challenge start.
While I agree that building your own costs a LOT more than buying something already built, building your own is attractive for a couple of reasons......a) you know exactly what's been done, when, and how, and b) it can be easier financially to build slowly and spread the cost out over time - not too many people will finance a race car purchase.
