Hey guys. Heres the deal. Im looking to spend about 1000$ to get an E30. Its condition doesnt matter too much to me. Aslong as the body is good, and the engine is decent. If its not running, its alright.

I want to put together an FI setup. I heard something about swapping an eta head with an I block. I dunno if this is true, or if its backwards, no clue.

Im pretty pissed i missed the 325i for 575. I was only two days late :(

anyways, anyhelp would be great.

its backward its the i head on a e block, if you do it you have to also swap your pistons too.

an m10 318 should be really really cheap, like probably less than $1k, the only thing is it might be hard to find a decent one

Im guessing you mean less than 1k for the whole turbo setup. not bad, but i just dont know that much about turbos and need to get that book off of ebay. My plan was to sell the e36, get a nice e30is and just S52 it, but i want to own a turbo car and feel the boost at least once in my life.....dont know wheter to s52 my 318 right now and turbo a 325 e30 or what....aghhhh

oh no, i meant for the car. a turbo's a turbo, does it matter that much on price what car it's for?

an s52 would be alot more regardless though

Does anybody else think it's absurd to put a $3-5K turbo in a $1K car?

Not at all. And who said anything about 3-5k for a turbo? Ive seen a few E30's with 3k turbos doing high 10s/11s
