definitely...
definitely...
+1
but you need to get involved. If you don't do anything with your local group, that roundel certainly isn't worth quite $40 a year (although its close).

Was it extra to join the local chapter? I think it was asking me to pay an additional 15 to join.

see if you can change it to SD, they have a better chapter IMO. I did the same thing when I signed up. I chose LA since that is where my boyfriend is, figured I'd do stuff up there. I ended up just driving down to the SD stuff. They have a great autocross. Well, actually, if LA gets old of the California speedway parking lot for autocrosses, it will really improve their events, and they will be a lot closer to Qualcomm, but you can still go to the LA events as an SD member. SD has some great drives though.
it is worth it. I don't go to many of the events, but we have 4 BMWs, the part discount saves me so much money every year.

That's right the SD chapter is the best. I haven't been a member that long but there are some great people and great events down here. We might not have Qualcomm for that much longer if they decide to build another staduim for the chargers.
It is an extra $15 to join more than 1 chapter, you get your local chapter for the price of member ship.
I am planning to check out the CCA clean car show in Fullerton on the 25, and go to the Autocross July 16 at Fontana. I try to go to things from both chapters.

I have been a member for the past like five years or so.. I hold dual chapters both LA and SD. SD by far has a better autoX setup there just run a tighter ship. LA is getting there shit together though.
A great way to meet good people... + Rondel is a pretty good mag.

The discount from parts that i buy or even from the service through my independent bmw shop is well over the $40 fee for the cca membership.
I'm still not too involved with my local chapter as it's consisted of 30+ year old so i feel kind of out of place.
Plus i'm still bringing my car back to track condition so no track days for me yet.
