The water shield inside of the door is bad or the drains in the bottom of the door are plugged. Easy fix once the door panel is off.

I had it happen to me while my car was under the factory warranty.
Dealer replaced it with a revised ( so they say) design. I had them replace the passenger side while they had it.

Ya exact same thing happend to me 2 days ago. Im driving threw the car wash and I see from my right rear door water was pouring in at the bottom ...... I was like what the %%#&^& !!!!!!!! Looked under the door trim once threw but did not see any wear on the door trims? Is that why too once it rains i put on the defrost for my front windshield and instead of getting better it gets worse? So do i have to go to a dealer to fix this problem?

might have to go to the dealer to get this done? Maybe an independent might be able to take care of it for you.
My problem started when the dealer replaced the rear widow motors. Evidently it's easy to damage the liner during the process.

so what does the linear in the door have to do with water leak ?

The vapor barrier or liner is there to keep the water that drains down the inside of your door out of the car. I also had this happen to me when I owned an e39. Pull off the door panels and reglue the vapor barriers in place.

So do I have to take my car to BMW dealer or do a body shop to have this done, cause i wouldnt feel comfortable pulling off my door panels. So where did you have this problem 28 boy, rear door as well?

Yes, in the back footwells. Why take it to a dealer? The door panels just pop on/off with clips. You can buy a special tool to help with the removal of the clips, they just pop out. Tool will run you under $10. The dealer is going to charge you $100 - $200 to do this, but hey, it's your money.

So let me get this straight when i take off the panel, Ill se a plastic sheet there. And then just reglue it on the door or the pannel?

It's more like molded styrofoam. Check it, I'm sure you will find where it has come loose. After regluing it, spray water on the outside of the window and see if any is finding it's way inside.
