View Full Version : Short throw shifter

Alrighty, i jus need to know what shifter i should go with that is for a 94 325is (only thing not changed in the conversion) ive seen sum from sites such as understeer.com going for $100 that offer 50% reduction in throw and then ive seen others going for over $200 on other sites offering less or and equal amount of reduction.... I need help on chosing one if u would

I have the rouge engineering short shifter and i love it :) , It feels great I would to say that it isn't really notchy, but i have nothing to compare it to. But ill go ahead and say it doesn't feel notchy at all.
edit: when i get my car back ill take pictures of the locations, i won't get my car back till tommorow.

first off whats ur budget, if its low go with understeer or b&m for a bit more. but if u got some dough UUC.

me personally im gonna get the understeer budget one, i cant stomach $300+ for a SSK

Just installed my understeer budget SSK along with delrin bushings and a few clips last night.
great bang for the buck, the play in neutral is considerably less and so is the throw !!! It's also firmer, requiers a stronger hand to shift.

I like a lot !! Went out on the highway to test it and pulled the fastest double clutching downshifts I have ever done ;)

I might do a topic or post pics of the before/after difference.

I was going to go UUC, but youre right, Hell, anything 250 + is hard for me to even consider as an option.

250 is anal.. 250+ is no lube. :(
