Yes, yes, it's true, she's on the selling block. Why? It's not the car for me right now. I love it, I do, and I'd like to see her go to an enthusiast, so I can have "visitation rights", but it's not the right time in life for me to own such a car.

the specs:
1995 BMW 540i
6spd manual transmission
custom LTW flywheel
e39 M5 clutch
RD Strut bar
Alpine HU
Radar detector built into dash/bumpers
Gun safe in trunk
blacked out front kidneys
16 in. Borbet wheels
I believe the car to be chipped, but have never taken the time to take the DME out and see
Shwarz (black) exterior
dove (gray) interior
woodgrain
climate control
On board computer
On board diagnostic display
Wires ran for ICE in trunk
151,xxx miles
recent service- valve cover gaskets, new MAF, spark plugs
needs- right front shock is blown, your choice to replace the front two, or do all four

Car is very comfortable, and fits four adults quite nicely. I poke around in it to work, but it's nice to know I can let all hell break lose if need be. She boogies when need be, to say the least. Previous owner wasn't the greatest, but in the past year of owning this car, I've taken meticulous care of her. Wash/wax once a week. Clay bar/polish once every three months. The side of the front two seats is starting to show some wear, and the front left corner of the headliner on the sunroof is starting to come down. Although, I may have the headliner taken care of in the next few days.

price: $9500. Although trades will be considered, this is the total value I'm hoping to get. To be utterly honest, I'm really hoping to find a VW Corrado VR6, but...every offer will be considered.

Do you have the stock wheels? how negotiable is price?

I do not have the stock wheels, they were part of a 3 way trade, and are on an e28 up in Gainsville...I can try to talk to him, but that outlook is doubtful.

What's next? Well, I bought an e21 as a project, but driving it around has proved to be more enjoyable than I thought. If I can't find another suitable daily, I'll keep driving the e21 and pay off some of my debt. If it comes down to a trade, or I decide I need a daily, I'd really really really like a VW corrado VR6. But we'll see how that pans out.

the price is pretty touchy...make me an offer, and I'll take it from there.

I have an e30 I would be willing to trade if you are interested, but I would rather buy out right. But i don’t like the wheels that much, and the price is pushing e39 territory.

could you give me the details on the e30?

Hey Serge, I added you to my aim list, and we can talk somemore tomorrow. I worked the ever glorious 12-10 shift tonight, and ended up having to stay an extra 40ish minutes. In short, I'm pooped. But I did get it, and I'll think about your offer tonight. Thank you.

well, I wouldn't have to, if the bills fairy would pay me a visit....but, that's highly unlikely, since the only fairies I see are rather feminime males, it has to be so.

it's originally a texas car. They like guns in texas. I live in suburbia, guns are "evil" around here.

Turbo Miata, sweet! I've kicked around the idea of getting rid of mine as well, I really need something that doesn't require any attention, probably boring and Japanese. College, a family, and a BMW sometimes doesn't work out too well.

Nice Russell! It certainly would be quicker to detail ;)
