I drive an e36 BMW blank.

I drive an e36 blank. Its not an m3, because it dosent have 321hp or ITB's. Its not a 325 or 318 because it has different motor, suspension, a few different chassis pieces and different aero. It has no heritage because it wasnt made in 1988 and dosent have wide body and a raw feeling.

I find driving my bmw blank quite pleasing. I am puzzled though however, why would BMW put "M Power" on the motor, an "M3" badge on the back, "M" logos on the brakes and suspension, "M3" on the door sills, "M" stripes on the seats and shift knob, "M3" owners manual, and why is "M3" on my registration? Was bmw confused when they made my car? Did they confuse my car with something else in transit from the factory?

I have seen tons of cars on ebay with badges of different cars, but I never expected something like this from bmw.

I would have to say, out of the e46 m3, and e30 m3, I prefer the BMW Blank. It has a solid feel and good power delivery. Compared to the e46 and e30's I have driven I believe my bmw blank has the most potential for good looks and awesome performance. I love all of them in different ways, but for now, for me, I am happy with my BMW Blank. I reccommend a section for BMW Blank in this forum.

Its an m3... he (and I) are just being dramatic. The US-spec m3 is missing a lot of the stuff that comes on the ones that are in europe and japan. (better motor, 6-spd tranny...etc). Many say that the US e36 m3 is not a true M car like the ones that are in europe.

Just a fun thread, I actually started it in OT and a moderator moved it here. Yes my car is an m3, its just a U.S. spec. It still has unique stuff that only came on the U.S. spec m3, but the euro spec M3 is better in most ways.

Haha, yeah my car was in the autotrader for a while. There are rumors about my car having a rebuilt engine? what? LOL thats news to me, thats funny. What happened was a few months after I bought it I was going to sell it, I payed for the full ad in the autotrader to run till you sell. What happened though was I decided not to sell it, but just in case I wanted to sell it later on I kept renewing the ad, that way I wouldnt have to pay for it again. A few months went by and I thought I was being unfair to autotrader for not making much of an effort to get the car sold and just took it off. Now I have BBS wheels, Track coilovers and I am in love with my BMW Blank!

you should also blame the price point. And the fact that US customers can/could back out of buying a car even after it was ordered. Hence why a lot of the uber nice ones never made it over.

Exactly what I am thinking, my car is a real m3 period, just a dew different things to comply with u.s. laws then what is availible in europe. If I get the power fixed with a supercharger or euro swap I dont think anyone would say its not an m3.

Ok, I think you should look at it like this. What if they said "we arent going to bring the m3 over, because we would have to change the motor and tranny if we do." Would you tell bmw, ohhh ok, just catch up with us in the next Gen, or would you say, bring over the closest thing you can? I would say bring over the closest thing you can. I would be like, can you make us a model that will have still have kick ass performance, that will be availible in the u.s., I mean, thats what BMW did, and we have a kick ass m3 model here in the states.
