I voted 3rd. 1st is good but most people won't think much about it (I figure the point of a frame is for others to read). 2nd is good but not really original and something more I picture on some valley girl's plate who looks gross and drives a Ford truck. 3rd shows off your enthusiasm for driving a BMW, which is sweet let alone being a girl on top of that!

You are putting an I'd rather be driving a BMW on a BMW? You perplex me at times.... Voted numero uno.

There was a plate made by Sport Chalet that would always have messages at the bottom stating "I would rather be biking" or "I would rather be swimming" etc. My mom got me the biking one back in the day and I was thinking I wouldn't rather be biking so that didn't go on! I guess that's american drivers compared to euro drivers, it's a hassle for us.

OT (but in that vein)....I once had a Silver Shadow LWB for which one of my Art Directors made up a VERY professional-looking bumper sticker that said: "My other car is a Honda." Got a lot of laughs. I also like licence plate frames but they're all plain chrome or stainless steel.

It's a play on those Sport Chalet ones "I'd rather be camping" "I'd rather be hiking". Its a round a bout way of saying that there is nothing I'd rather be doing. But "BMW/There's Nothing I'd Rather Be Doing" doesn't really have the same ring as "I'd Rather be Driving" my only fear with getting that one is that people will think I'm a golfer. So the BMW thing at the top would help that.
It is something you'd have to think about more than the second one. And the first one you'd get only if you were a driver, or if you were behind me before an onramp.

A straight up black frame with no writing at all.
Or
Caution: Driver apexes late.
I like messages that not everyone gets, even when it's me that doesn't get them. Stuff for the masses is BS. I cannot believe people actually pay extra money for a personalised plate that says something like "JOESBUG". I mean, why volunteer more tax payment than you need to?

+1 for both remarks and also +1 for frameless cleanliness.

There are more inventive ways of saying it.

plain old frame with no message.
I used to have one on my old car that read "friends don't let friends drive Junk"
but messages all get old after a while.

I can understand that, I've been rocking "Irvine BMW" for almost three years on mine now. I can't help but use the free advertisment space, though. If I take it off later, oh well.
I'm surprised that I'd rather be driving isn't doing better. I thought that was a pretty good idea,
