Ok i was on a bently... looked really wicked...like it was stopped at the stop light yet the wheels were still rotating. I was guessing there was a plate or something on the rim that kept revolving. Looks sweet as hell. looks kinda bling blingy :)

Yes, VERY bling. I've yet to see them for myself, but I'm sure they look fabulous. I agree with you MLife, I'd never put them on my car, but hell, if they work for you, go for the extra bling factor. Haha, on an escalade, all the way!

I saw these rims at the Long Beach Grand Prix, at the consumer convention center. I think they were blingin on an S500. Not sure. I would get them on a Geo Metro though. More bizounce to the izounce.

it would look cool if you had only two in the rear wheels. would look like you are doing a burn out, but not chrome, silver or something

The real rims are called Spreewells. They cost around 12,000 dollars. They rotate on bearings. So when you stop the rim start spinning on the bearings. Also after so many miles I cant remember exactly what it was you have to bring the wheels in and get the bearings re-done. they are very expensive but very nice. They have a set that when you are going down the road they look like they are not spinning. But when you stop they start spinning. I have seen them ona brand new Escalade. Looked pimp. Also when he was pulling out of the parking lot where we were a guy in a car was looking so hard at his wheels he wound up hitting the car in front of him. It was pretty damn funny. Noone was hurt in the wreck. If I had the money I would buy a set just to have them.

:biglaughb Amazing!! I saw a set last night on a brand new, very black Escalade that I pulled next to at a stop light in Dallas. I had
to laugh, they were SO BLING!! I guess on a rig like that they are
kinda acceptable, but anybody that would even think of putting those on a bimmer ought to be shot...and shot again if he survives!!:evil2

God... I did a write up on these a few weeks ago on dtm, but they have no search function...
Finally! Here it is:

I see the original post in this thread was made 10 months ago... There are now many other brands that manufacture spinning wheels. I pulled this info off a fellow Jaguar enthusiasts' site on www.cardomian.com and edited it for this forum:
There no actual spinning wheels available named "Spreewells", "Moonwalkers" , etc..People make this up cause they saw a video or MTV cribz or heard a rapper sing about them ...people make up names for whatever and *poof* we have slang lol..But what their trying to identify is the fact that they spin & that is what its all about. Not that there is a wheel called "spreewell". The actual names will be mentioned as you
read on.
We all know who Spreewell is an no he ain't a rim, he is a BB player and owns an autmotive accessory company and was one of the 1st to have Davin in his lineup of wheels...so here is some knowledge you can pass on the next time someone says something about spinning wheels so you know the RIGHT Name.
Davin was the first to come out with the first spinning wheel in 2001 and IMO when I first saw it i thought that rim was Fugly & expensive to boot and didn't see his other ones cause he didnt have them yet, but later on the ones that were hott were even more expensive & on freaking back order.
Anyway, I said screw it! I will be patient...So here is what happens next .. Everyone knows Brooklyn boxer Zab Judah. (He's a boxer from Brooklyn, NY.) OMEGA wheels comes out with his name on their line of spinning wheels & they are original and they aren't copycats.
Their design looks nothing like the Davin wheels. They simply took the idea to another level by providing a product for half the price. Same as many ideas, like the the first car and now look at the variety we have to choose from!!!
Now CHECK THIS OUT...
THEN Spin-Teck turns around and has an adaptive spinning piece that can go on about 25+ wheels which means that.. lets say you have rims now & if you can take off your center cap which comes off so you can take ya lugz off )BTW its available for only 20"-24" DUBZ ONLY ATM, they have a center 5 star spinnin piece that you can insert in place of that ...
So now, that is what people are calling "bootleg spinners" and what not. Because the rims are not designed to spin, people are making them do it. IMO however "If Ya SpiNNin YA SpInnIn No MaTter HoW Ya DoIn It Ya DoIn It !!"
Ws a matter of fact when you goto the link you will see alot of the wheels that can fit the adapter. So in short
So now what have you learned today by reading this?
You have learned the following:
A)Davin Spinning Wheels(11k-16k) Identify you as THE MAN! meaning if you have these you have more than 1 car & a house and then some & your car aint under 60k..these may vary depending on your $$ flow... possible back orders
B)OMega Spinning Wheels Identify you as THE BALLER!(6k-8k)you have atleast a house and & your car aint under 40k these may vary depending on your $$ flow
...possible back orders
C)SPIN-TECK Spinning Adaptive 4Pc.
(1K-3K)Identify you as THE PLAYER!you have at least a place to live & your car runs. (This may vary depending on your $$ flow)....no possible back orders that i know of.
*********Please Note A to C was Not Intended as a Debate, Exaggeration from A to C was made for the purpose of HUMOR (and to show those people out there what level your on when they see you spinnin!)***************************
Bottomline is if you are spinning (according to critics) your winning!!
Why?
Get spinning wheels and pull up to a guy that has 24"or 26" dubs on his truck & at the red light he glances at the 20" spinning wheels on your car and see who takes off 1st !
You will cause he will be too busy hypnotized by your wheels! He will miss the green light LOL ..Trust me I KNOW THIS!!!
ONE MORE THING: all the Spin-teck adapters are the same which means everyone who has one will look the same. The only thing that is differnt is your original rim itself which dont spin.
At the time that excerpt was written Omega was to only the only competition Davin had and the wheels were only manufactured in the 20" diameter, however over the past 3 months even more rims have been released and they are now available from over 10 different companies in diameters ranging from 18" to 26". :)
Here's is a link to a site that sells most of the spinning wheels that are available today (59 different styles!):
www.superbuytires.com
Just do a search for spinning wheels and see what turns up. :)

Tom
