I am getting 19" rims and I have no idea what tires to get. I need 235/35's in the front and I could only find three companies that offer max performance tires in that size. My cousin with an e36 m3 told me to post a poll in here and said you guys would be able to tell me which is the best out of the three.

I've had SP9000's and they are sweet because they can be driven in the rain. This was on my old 325i, which I crashed. Currently, I have on P-Zeroes and their tread-life sucks. Also, P-Zeroes can't be driven in the rain.

ditto on the avs sports. being in socal, i don't think you'll need to compromise dry traction for a tire with better wet traction.

I have nettos with my 18's, and I couldn't be happier. They are wearing really well, and ride like a dream. I don't know if you had concitered netto or any other brands, but you might want to look into them. The pricing isn't bad on them either, but definetly get them groved cut.

Im probably going to try the Toyos next.. they wear better than the other 2 which is a big plus when they cost $1k for tires!

I choose the Dunlop SP9000. I was also limited in choices due to size availability (needed 235/35 and 275/30/19) My choices came down to Pirelli P7000 or PZero, Yokohama AVS. Nitto (extreme 555?) and Dunlop. After researching the Pirellis for a while I decided that the P7000 was not a maximum performance tire, but instead a glorified all season design. The PZero was expensive, noisy and short lived, the Yokohama was also reviewed as very noisy. The Dunlop, while not al the level of my 17" SO3s offer good grip and better wet traction, along with a surprising comfortable and quiet ride. It was also pretty fairly priced and offers the longest treadwear rating. I have been happy with them, after some initial disappointment with sidewall stiffness and turn in response ( compared to my SO3s ). I haven't tried the Toyo, but I read somewhere that a lot of the teams in the Speedvision challenge are not happy with the Toyo, which is the spec tire for the serires.

Good luck with your decision
