I have a T3/T4 manifold for my turbo project and Im about to buy the turbo and I was wondering if I could get any turbo as long as it is a T3/T4 or if there is a specific one I have to buy. thanks

you will want to make sure your turbo has a T3 flange... T3/T4 turbos are hybrid turbos but utilize standard T3 flanges. if you look at a turbo to purcahse and it says T4 it wont work. there are adapter plates out there but not worth the hassle.

I think you really need to do a LOT more research if you are planning a customturbo

To not know if you have to buy a "specific turbo" or not is a very bad start!!!!

Search search search...read read read. There is MORE than all of the info you need on this very forum ;)

oT// what manifold do you have :confused

james, if you need help with your project give me a call. I think you have my number... if not david has it.

what manifold did you get?

how much power are you trying to get out of it?

and are you doing any engine work?

as for being on topic... use t3, buy davids garret 60-1 oorrrr if you want quicker spool buy my roommates garret t57.
