OBC System Scan/Cylce

How often does the OBC rescan to check if there are any faults? I had a CEL and i cleared the codes to see if it was an old problem. I would like to know if its after xx amount of miles or how ever it decides so that i can take it to smog knowing it will pass CEL test (which was the ONLY thing that caused me to fail somg). Kaliphorneeuh emission tests blow!!

This is confusing. The OBC (on board computer) doesn't check anything, it gets the errors from the CCM (check control module). The Check Engine Light doesn't have anything to do with this.

Your right, sorry. OBD is what i meant. I wanted to know when the OBD ran a scan of all the sensors so i know if the CEL was fixed, or if it has just yet to come back on. That and i need to know for smogcheck factors.

Too many acronyms i jsut get confused sometimes. Confusion FTHMFL!!
