Where and which is the best place to get the "6" repair manual?

Unfortunately there isn't a 6er manual. Your best bet is one for a e28 based 5er. Mobile traditions has a cd for 6ers. It's so so, I have one and it helps. Another place I know is a store in Seattle (books4cars.com). They may be able to get factory manuals altho, very spendy.

I purchased a manual for my 1978 635csi euro from (books4cars.com) and it was $150 with shipping. I wish I would have known that you also need the technical data manual. That one is $70. You need both to be able to do any specific repairs that require torque specs, tolerances etc.
