I can't reach dtmpower.net from my account (doesn't even show up as a valid name), so I can't email you.

Could you please post some more information on this GP? The price is almost unbelievably low. What shop is doing this for you? Are these full US market (and warranty) items, or are they grey-market (with no warranty in the US) ones like what SPP allegedly sells?

Also, how long is this GP going on (i.e.-when's the deadline)?

Trying to figure out the whole budget thing... Thanks!

Our parts are bought thru several different H&R distributors and are by no means "grey market".

What is grey market anyways? The term is used and really has no meaning.

Distributors like SPP buy parts from various sources around the world. We then sell the parts to customers and wholesale accounts.

Use AC Schnitzer as an example. CEC imports the wheels into the USA as do a few other companies. If I pick up the phone and order AC Schnitzer wheels from AC Schnitzer in Germany or an AC Schnitzer dealer in Africa does this mean the wheels are bad or do not have a warranty from AC Schnitzer? I think not. They are all coming from the same factory.

We buy thru Authorized Dealers of H&R NA

All our parts come with complete warranty

for any questions, comments, or concerns please email me at eric@supremepowerparts.com or call 714-632-1951

Thanks

Eric,

I didn't mean any offense, but I'd heard from a couple places that your H&R coilovers might be "grey market." But since those people were apparently incorrect, and these are covered under full warranty, I apologize for spreading the rumor here.

However, I have to disagree with you on "grey market" in general. Here's a definition of "grey market" from the BH Photo website (www.bhphoto.com):

Simply put, "grey market" means that the item is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, because the manufacturer's licensed or authorized agent or representative did not import that item into the USA and did not sell it to the retailer to sell it to you. We import the product directly from the overseas manufacturer or distributor, bypassing additional distribution levels. Many manufacturers and distributors therefore coined the negative sounding term, "grey market", for this perfectly legal money-saving activity, namely "direct import".

So yes, it's the same thing, probably/possibly made at the same factories. But the warranty is different.

I recently had a defective Oettinger wheel. I did not know if was defective until I went to mount the tire......well my supplier said no problem its covered under warranty. I did not buy the wheels from the US Importer but rather a european source. They covered it under their warranty from the manufacturer.

No offense taken Corwyn, just wanted everyone to know what's up. The H&R is not imported to us here. We actually do buy it out of the good ol USA
