Its actually an individual arctic grey M3. It has every option you could think of, some Alpina parts, and that sweet cloth int.

i like the first m3, but i wouldnt pay NEAR 34k for that, thats crazy talk, you could have bought it brand new for almost that, and its still going to depreciate. Lots of gorgeous cars there though

This is the only car in the US with this spec. Rarity=value. this car is only going to get more valuable as time rolls by.

Where was this meeting held? If you say Des Moines, I will be angry! I was down there all weekend. I just purchased my first BMW a couple weeks ago, 92 325i MTX in the Granite Silver. I need to join the Iowa Chapter, I live in Sibley, up in the NW corner of Iowa.

This show was held in Cedar Rapids, but we have lots of events in DSM.
What is a 325i MTX?
I used to live in Storm Lake, what a crappy town. My family has a summer house in okoboji as well, so I know the NW corner pretty well.

Come on, now. There are tons of cool cars in Iowa. You are forgeting the guy in Iowa city with the Ferrari COLLECTION, and the rest of the car club members that didn't come to the show. The driving school in june will look a lot like the concours, except there will be 5 times more cars, and everyone will actually be driving them.

truth.
this guy should hold onto it. it'll be worth a lot more once the bell curve hits the e36's. look at e30 m3's that are in great condition and low miles.. they sell for quite a pretty penny.
great shots man! i personally love that m5.

I used to be a Taurus SHO owner, and they refer to the manual transmission SHO as an MTX. I have seen other forums use it, so I just applied it here. MTX is easier to type than 5 speed.
As for Okoboji, my girlfriend's family also has a house right on the lake there. I will be in Boji quite frequently this summer.

I don't know. It may be just me, but although it's rare, it's not that amazing of a car. If I could have a standard production M3 for 13k, or in the same condition get that car for 20k, I'm going with the standard one. Who's with me?
(I'll guess now - no one)
Cheers,

I would agree with you if I purchased a car to drive. If I wanted to get a car that will APPRECIATE in value, I would get this one and leave it in the garage for 10 years or more. Remember these are all factory installed mods.

The individual M3 is for someone who already has a daily driver M3, a track M3, and has the space and money to buy a modern collectable car.

if i had the means and the funds right now i would buy that car in a heartbeat. not just for $34,000 but maybe even up to $40,000. why? because it's rare, original bmw individual paint, factory suede interior, the list goes on. plus for a rich guy like me, what's $34,000? :D :redspot that would be a nice showpiece to add to anyones collection.
