help! tail lights

Hi, i have depo tails, I was trying to fix a piece that holds the bulb holder in place on the bottom right light (night time light) and all of a sudden both of the night time lights on that side (passenger side) went out. The driver side lights are fine. Did i short something out? I checked with a meter and theres a current going through the little plug that goes into the taillights. Help would be appreciated :)

maybe bulbs are blown

changed them with the other side and the bulbs are fine. I'm going to pull the whole assembly out now and see if i can find anything wrong if not i might need new tails.
