Well, I'm just trying to figure out whether or not I should black out my kidneys, front bumper racemesh, and rear bumper grill. What would you guys do? Can Anyone photoshop it?
And BTW, THE KIDNEY BADGE HAS ALREADY BEEN REMOVED.
PSHOP IN POSTS #16 AND #22. Thanks NorcalBMW

Despite popular demand.. I think keepin it would be better. Silvers are really the only car color that I think pulls off stock chrome over blacked. So I vote keep it the same, unless you get black wheels w/polished lip.. then as things start getting darker, it would be best to black out. But for now.. keep it.

Id say black out, all of it, but after a 97+ nosepanel/grill change.

make the mesh black, it'll compliment your cf wing
too much chrome in the front. black out that grill
EDIT: forget that, get cf kidneys!

I know i want cf kidneys soo bad, but they're impossible to find for 97+ nosepanels! It's ridiculous, they can't be found anywhere. If someone knows where to get them please let me know ASAP!

Yea, and also $360!!!!!!! that's a little ridiculous. also, they say 96+ instead of 97+, probably just a typo though

I say black it out, especially the mesh. I'd also be in favor of painting the eyelids and spoiler, but thats just me...

the carbon fiber parts are staying...Does anyone think I should paint the license plate frame too? Or is it ok to leave that chrome? Probably best to just buy a black one from the factory if I were to change, but it kind of matches the dinan and m3 emblems on the back

I would think a black plate frame would look good with the trim you have over it.

this might be your best bet for cf kidneys...

you'll see mostly e46 stuff, but they do custom orders(read bottom of page). get a quote for 97+ kidneys and let us know.

I might leave the surrounds of the grills chrome (like stock) but I'd black out everything else.

after seeing the pics, it looks like i'm blacking it all out! thanks again norcalbmw
I can only hope it turns out as good as the photoshop
Does anyone have the DIY link for blacking out the kidneys? Also, for the bumper grills, i just plan on spraying them with primer and then black paint while they're on the car since it's too much of a PITA to take the bumpers off. I'm not going to sand the bumper grills though, think the paint will stick it they're cleaned well? And don't worry i'm going to tape of everything very, very well.

dude it takes 10 minutes max to get the bumper off. just do it right.
and blacked out mesh will do alot for your car, especially the rear.

100% black out the mesh in the rear and front. Grills Id black IMO, but don't have to be.

silver ones look better on your car, leave them as they are

don't be lazy luke. Do it right. I have taken my bumper off and put it back on about 10 times. It's not worth being pissed about possibly overspraying on the car somewhere. Take the bumper off and paint them someone free of dust/dirt.
I think it is possible to take the grilles out without removing the bumpers tho. Take a look at it..
