i was coming back from costco the other day and when i put my car on Drive it wouldn't accelerate. a light came on, it was an exclamation point inside a circle. when i pulled over to turn the engine off and turn it back on everything was fine again. can somebody tell me what it is and is it going to cost me a lot of money?

Don't touch the A-M rocker switch next to the shifter. I've had that put me in limp mode twice -- I'm smart now.
I threw a code once that required replacement of a control pressure regulator to correct. I also threw codes on a couple of occasions that were gear speed out of range or not matching. The explanation given was maybe the clutches were getting old, or maybe it was a temporary glitch (their words). But. . . that was 20K ago and no problems since then.

starting on 3rd gear out of a red light, I laughed at how slow I accelerated and how low my mpg was!!
but seriously, the compy hadn't notice how f'ed up my tranny was until tuesday this week :shifty what a morron.

You're confused Robb. They don't have a clutch, as in, 5-speed, but they do have clutch packs in each gear that lock up and send the power to the tailshaft.
