Last freaking night I was driving and me and my buddy were just playing around with our cars, anyways, I miss shifted........:mad :mad :mad :mad
yeah I was on third gear doing about 130km/h and changing on 4th I put her on second instead!!!!!
Anyways, my buddy told me that there was bunch of black smoke.
The wheels locked for a split second like braking. It was an instant, and then it drove again, no noises, or clucks from the engine or anythine, i mean i thought this was it, i blew the engine.
Now though, it vibrates, the engine is vibrating like a mofo, it's like working without one cylinder, or removing one spark plug and starting the car.
Now my question is, like I drove the car, cus i had another 30 km to go, it didnt overheat, there were no ugly noises, just the cutting out, like constantly shaking, and not having enough power, what could have happened, like the car is at the mechanic today, but just to get an idea!!!!
PLEASE PLEASE AND THANKS!!!!!

it all depends on how bad it is. The head needs to come off and you'll need new valves and retainers at the least. it gets really pricy if you damaged a piston when they slammed into each other.
this is a really good time to resurface the head, do a little valve trickery, and find a few extra ponies. At the end of the day you won't spend all that much more $$, since the head will already be off the car.

I am not very mchanically inclined, so will you elaborate a little bit on that.
Like do I buy some more expensive valves, or ask my mechanic to do something since the engine is opening so I get some extra ponies????
Like what do I need to tell my mech. or he already knows this??

Ok... cliff notes version.
There is some tricks that can be done to the stock valve set. Track down Pete McHenry (if he's still around) or chuck Stickley and tell them you want to buy a set of stock valves and have them back cut. They'll know what you mean. The better choice would be to call one of those guys, or someone like Turner (who I think might have a few used heads for sale, this is something to look into) and ask what it would cost to do a competition valve job. these guys won't give away their secrets, but they will do a good job for you. Alan Jensen (ARJ Enterprises) in Ohio would be another good guy. Will it be cheap? No. But your mechanic is already going to suggest a proper valve job since he has the head off and needs to replace some valves. If he just wants to drop in a few new valves to fix the old ones, fire him.
Is this making sense?
