11 - pressure sensor, fuel evaporation sys.

Had the shop scan/clear this code. It came back after a few minutes of driving. Checked the gas cap, and it was screwed on correctly/tightly. Mechanic said the gas cap thing throws a different code. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but pointed out a switch or sensor just to the right of the engine kind of under the intake tubing that he said may need to be replaced - we weren't sure of the name of it.

EDIT: Here's a picture of what i'm talking about

Anyone have any ideas about this code?

Thanks,

Roman

The picture you posted is of the fuel tank vent valve, this is not the part your looking for. The fault is for the fuel tank pressure sender, It's located in the filler neck, If you remove the rubber gromet that goes around the filler neck inside the fuel door you will see it... I've never seen one go bad, usually it ends up being a wiring issue. The wires enter the trunk on the right rear, sometimes they short out by the tail light assembly mounting screws... Good luck.:rolleyes
